TRIP AMONG TWO WORLDS

2
Giovanni turning to Ludovico, in one of their meetings, the Timeo of Plato narrated him: "Solone had heard this story from the priests, that could access the secret libraries and that they narrated him of remote times and of their handed down events. They told him of numerous catastrophes that had destroyed the humanity, they narrated him of Education and Pirra, descending of the first man and of as you/they had survived to the first downpour. Solone was anxious to hear the details of this great epoch and every heroic action of his/her most remote ancestors. The priests satisfied him/it and they narrated him the history of a war fought by the ancient Athenians against the great power come on the other side of the Atlantic." The Sacred Writings narrated only of a downpour… in the story of many Plato more. Some really violent and devastanti for the Earth and the men. Some forgotten ones… other survivors in the memory of some wise man custodians of the history through the myth…

Ludovico didn't bring him from his/her dear friend alone Giovanni for intellectual affairs but also to see his/her daughter Maria which got married. One year after their union a child that you/they called Charles was born. It was January 26 th 1414. The poverty and the lack of culture in that difficult period were as a violent storm that was risen on the heads of many men without even not excluding the tall classes and part of the men of church. But Charles belonged to a good family for this to the 9 year-old age, behind the decision of his/her/their mother, you/he/she was conducted near the convent of St. Mark Argentano to study, where you/he/she was welcomed with heat by the monks since immediately available, involving him/it in their activities. It knew then here the job in the fields of which you/they prepared the monks to be able to handle his/her own maintenance and that some community, dividing himself/herself/itself among the daily prayers that taught him with a lot of ardor and the studies of the Sacred Writings, that impassioned a lot him.

Charles learned the first rudiments of the Latin language and the proximity with Father Anthony from Catanzaro during the years you/he/she involved him/it with the study of the Greek philosophers. Him once I heard from his/her father Anthony that: "Not all the truth is narrated in the sacred book, since you/he/she has been revisited in some parts in the centuries, for errors of translation, but also volutamente to hide some matters, then many footsteps were hermetic, metaphoric, and you/they must be interpreted, but the reading is irta and difficulty, and in every case there are many meanings hidden in it." This believed the religious. But for Charles it was too soon to fully understand those words. The most important moment of its life was when for the first time he/she met the young Francis of Alessio destined to the holiness. A morning knocked to the door of the convent a family, that asked to the monks to be able to entertain as oblato his/her child Francis for one whole year to honor the grace received by St. Francis of Assisi. Naturally the religious didn't refuse that application, and so that, for the first turns the two young teen-agers met him, united by an only destiny. The young arrival, showed him sociable toward the other brothers, and it manifested the desire to stay a lot of alone time in meditation, he/she wanted to spend the time to his/her disposition in loneliness to draw near to the Creator, but it showed him skilled and willing in the manual jobs in the fields and always available with his similar. The young Francis developed all the humblest offices in the Convent, that of verger, distributor, went often him in the woods to tagliar firewood, it went to ask the alms for the Religious and, despite this, it also attended the prayer, almost for the whole night. He also began the studies on the Sacred Writings, since he/she knew how to read and to write, endowed with intellect and talent, that it well soon showed through divine demonstrations in front of the incredulous eyes of the monks and the young Charles. A lot of times shouted to the miracle during its permanence to the convent where he proved well soon on its way to make great things. The voice went out of the boundaries and reached the near countries, and in many, at first for curiosity and then to ask help they brought him near the door of the monastery, hopeful to receive help from that young prodigious. It was in that year that Charles understood that its life had to devote her/it to the divine one. Charles was 14 years old, when definite to remain in the convent and he met Francis that returned in country together with his/her family to begin a pilgrimage to Assisi. Charles remained around still two years in that sacred place bringing with itself the words that Francis turned him the last day of permanence to S. Marco they Silver: "You follow your heart and your thoughts, so these will bring elsewhere you, and in the doubt you will find greater faith and you will make good works." Him, hearing that sentence remained surprised, trying a feeling of comfort that anymore you/he/she would have forgotten.
